Thomas C. Smith, President and Founder
Tom is a seasoned real estate development and construction executive who oversees all operational aspects of the company. In addition, Tom maintains ongoing financial oversight and reporting for the operations of Leo Brown Group's senior living communities. With a diverse background in Healthcare, Office, Industrial, and Retail product types, Tom is an expert in all facets of real estate development. In addition to managing LBG's senior living development projects, Tom has managed a portfolio of over $100 Million in projects, including several medical office buildings in the Midwest and a series of specialty hospitals in the Southeast.
Tom is a graduate of Purdue University with a degree in Construction Engineering and Management and is actively working with the economic redevelopment committee in his hometown of Logansport, Indiana to improve the conditions of the downtown area.
L. Justin Brown, Executive Vice President and Founder
Justin brings over 20 years of commercial construction experience to LBG and manages the company's construction endeavors. Prior to founding Leo Brown Group with Tom Smith, Justin spent several years with his family's construction company and was running his own concrete and carpentry crews by the age of 18. Justin has experience with all product types, particularly healthcare, office, industrial, and institutional facilities. Justin graduated from Purdue University with a degree in Building Construction Management.
Michael R. Wagner, Vice President
Mike represents Leo Brown Group in the pursuit and development of healthcare and senior living projects. He is responsible for the initial identification of Leo Brown Group's senior living opportunities and determining the market feasibility for the creation of new assisted living, independent living, and memory care communities. Mike's career has been primarily focused on the healthcare and senior living market. He has been directly responsible for the development and leasing of over 750,000 square feet of senior living facilities, medical office buildings, and ambulatory care centers. Mike has had articles regarding healthcare facility development published in industry journals and has given presentations on the subject at industry seminars and conferences.
Mike graduated from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business with a degree in Marketing. He is very active in several healthcare and industry organizations and sits on the Board of Advisors at the St. Augustine's Home for the Aged in Indianapolis.
